So I'm beginning to quickly learn that I cannot run real servers or cisco equipment in my room. It was always fine with the server before which was basically just a computer but now that I have heard a real server and network switches running, it has become evident that it's simpily not practical to have them in my room anymore. They are simpily too noisey for me to get any sleep at night. I'm now looking for a place to put a rack that can be as noisey as it wants. However, this is proving difficult as there are no free rooms, the attic gets too hot, the shed is unsecured (and wooden) and anywhere else has no space. My mum aruges that I will learn to sleep with the noise just like living near a busy road but my dad argues that I should really get my sleep. Basically it all come down to yen point where I just cannot run them overnight or 24/7. There is one unused closet in the guest room that is quite big I may be able to put a server rack in there if my parents agree to it. Come to think of it, it would be perfect. I'll ask about it tommarrow and see what I can do!
