Animal Crossing GCN Event Guide




Here is a guide listing all the events that happen through out the year and what you can do and receive at them.

January


New Year's Day
Date: January 1st
Beginning: 6AM
End: 11PM

After a night of partying, why not cool things down a bit and visit the Wishing Well, where you can throw a coin into the Wishing Well! And you can receive a brand-new diary from Tortimer!

February


Groundhog Day
Date: February 2nd
Beginning: 7AM
End: 10AM

Today is the day that decides how long winter will last for the year. If the groundhog emerges from the ground, and immediately goes back inside to his toasty home, winter will continue for weeks. The villagers will group around the Wishing Well at 7AM sharp To Wait For It. After the event is over, talk to Tortimer to receive a Flower Model!

March


Spring Sports Fair
Date: March 20th or 21st
Beginning: 9AM
End: 3PM

Officer Copper is known for his sportsmanship, and he wants to keep your villagers in great shape, So he has set up a Sports Fair for everyone - except you , who is left to watch most of the events - to participate in! At 9AM, the gymnastics begin. Then at 11AM, a foot race ensues. At 1PM, the villagers play a healthy game that resembles basketball. Finally, at 3PM, the fair is rounded out with some tug-of-war.

April


April Fools' Day
Date: April 1st
Beginning: 6AM
End: 12AM

On April Fools', your villagers will be in the mood for pranks, so be sure to talk to them and they'll bombard you with lots of tales of mischief. Be sure to sprint to the Wishing Well and talk to your mayor, who will award you with a very interesting prize... It'll definitely round out your collection of NES games!

Cherry Blossom Festival
Date: April 5th - 7th
Beginning: 6AM on the 5th
End: 12AM on the 7th

On this day, the trees in your town will turn pretty pink, and cherry blossoms will float around the town, making for a spectacle worth seeing. The villagers will be picnicking near the Wishing Well, and Tortimer will be eager to award you with the Pink Tree Model - that perfectly commemorates the event.

Nature Day
Date: April 22nd
Beginning: 6AM
End: 12AM

Even though getting called a tree hugger can be considered offensive, your animals will show their nature love all day today. Be sure to talk to Tortimer, who is, as always, near the Wishing Well, to receive the Tree Model.

May

Spring Cleaning
Date: May 1st
Beginning: 6AM
End: 12AM

Your villagers will be occupied with cleaning their little homes on this day. Make sure to talk to Tortimer to get an item that symbolizes this day's meaning, the Dump Model.

Mother's Day
Date: 2nd Sunday in May
Beginning: 6AM
End: 12AM

Your mother never forgets to send you letters and gifts, so this is a perfect day to appreciate the woman that grew you into the person you are today! Also talk to Tortimer to receive the Lovely Phone.

June

Summer Fishing Tourney
Date: Every Sunday in June
Beginning: 6AM
End: 6PM

Chip the beaver will be hosting the Fishing Tourney. Things work like this: you may submit bass you have caught to Chip, and if its length beats out whatever was submitted before, you'll get a prize. If you manage to hold on to the lead throughout the day, your name will be posted on the Bulletin Board on the next day. Make sure to talk to Tortimer, too, to receive the Angler Trophy.

Graduation Day
Date: 2nd Friday in June
Beginning: 6AM
End: 12AM

Not much happens on this day, but you can listen to a lecture and receive a great gift from Tortimer: the Tailor Model.

Father's Day
Date: 3rd Sunday in June
Beginning: 6AM
End: 12AM

Even though your mother does most of the letter sending, old Pop is obviously checking her letters for grammar mistakes. Make the most out of this day and talk to Tortimer, who will give you a Locomotive Model.

July

Fireworks Show
Date: July 4th
Beginning: 7PM
End: 9PM

The lake will be the perfect place to be When the clock strikes 7, the fireworks show will begin! Gather around with your animal friends and watch the show! Crazy Redd will also take the opportunity to cash in and will be selling various items, such as balloons and pinwheels. Try and Find Tortimer, who will be walking around town, to get the Bottle Rocket.

Date: Random Date in July
Beginning: 6AM
End: 12AM

This day celebrates the uniqueness of your own town. The date of this holiday is different in each town, so please see your diary for an exact date. Also, talk to Tortimer to receive a Train Station Model!

Morning Aerobics
Date: July 25th - August 31st
Beginning: 6AM
End: 7AM

Copper again proves that he is the best sportsman in your town. Starting at 6AM, you will get the chance to participate in the morning aerobics, which are located close to the Wishing Well by way of the C-stick, try rotating it to see what happens! Also, be sure to talk to Tortimer to receive an event card, which you will need to stamp 14 times on 14 individual days that the aerobics sessions will take place - You'll get the Aerobics Radio!

August

Meteor Shower
Date: August 12th
Beginning: 6PM
End: 9PM

Go local lake between 6PM and 9PM to witness the annual meteor shower along with the rest of your villagers. Be sure to talk to Tortimer to receive the Telescope!

Founder's Day
Date: August 21st
Beginning: 6AM
End: 12AM

On this day, Tortimer is eager to tell you about the founding fathers of your town. He Will Yap on about how great his forefathers were, Then He will award you with the Weed Model.

Morning Aerobics
Date: July 25th - August 31st
Beginning: 6AM
End: 7AM

Copper once again proves that he is the best sportsman in your town. Starting at 6AM, you will get the chance to participate in the morning aerobics, which are located close to the Wishing Well by way of the C-stick; try rotating it to see what happens! September

Labor Day
Date: 1st Monday in September
Beginning: 6AM
End: 12AM

Working on perfecting your town has its paybacks, Speak to Tortimer on this day, who is at the Wishing Well, to receive a memento Of the Shop Model.

Fall Sports Fair
Date: September 23rd or 24th
Beginning: 9AM
End: 3PM

Officer Copper is known for his sportsmanship, and he wants to keep your villagers in greatphysical shape; therefore, Copper has set up a Sports Fair for everyone - except you , who is left to watch most of the events - to participate in! At 9AM, the gymnastics begin (this is the only event in which you participate in. Then, at 11AM, a foot race ensues. At 1PM, the villagers play a healthy game that resembles basketball. Finally, at 3PM, the fair is rounded out with some tug-of-war. During one of these events, try tracking down Tortimer to receive the Autumn Medal.

Harvest Moon
Date: Varies
Beginning: 6PM
End: 9PM

Be sure to see your diary to find the exact date of the Harvest Moon, as its date varies every year. Once the date arrives and once the clock strikes six, run to your local town lake and see the Harvest Moon's strikingly beautiful reflection. And seek out Tortimer for the Moon, which is as nearly as large as the actual moon!

October

Explorer's Day
Date: 2nd Monday in October
Beginning: 6AM
End: 12AM

Exploring in the game of Animal Crossing is vital, and why not have a whole day devoted to the art of exploration? As always, talk to Tortimer for a tale of epic proportions, and then you'll receive the Bottled Ship, a perfect commemoration!

Mushrooming Season
Date: October 15th - 25th
Beginning: 8AM each day
End: 9:15 that day

You'll need to wake up early to be able to grab the mushrooms on the ground each morning, there are 5 at different spots, and every 15 minutes, one of them will be devoured by one of your villagers, leaving one less mushroom for you. You can sell the mushrooms at Tom Nook's for a great sum, so be sure to do that!


Halloween
Date: October 31st
Beginning: 6PM
End: 1AM

Note: A couple of weeks before Halloween, Tom Nook will begin selling candy, which you can use to feed the villagers on Halloween night, who will all be costumed in a pumpkin outfit lurking around for candy.
On Halloween night, an interesting character will visit your town - Jack. Your true goal on Halloween night is to seek him out and give him candy; you will receive an item from the Spooky Set. Try evading the villagers so you'll have candy left for Jack; a nice strategy is to hide the candy in your letters so if, by any chance, the villagers will run up to you and talk to you, you won't have any candy to give. However, be sure to have a piece of candy out once you talk to Jack, or he'll turn your current shirt into a bunch of rags!

November

Fishing Tourney
Date: Every Sunday in November
Beginning: 6AM
End: 6PM

Chip the beaver will be hosting the Fishing Tourney. Things work like this, you may submit bass you have caught to Chip, and if its length beats out whatever was submitted before, you'll get a prize. If you manage to hold on to the lead throughout the day, your name will be posted on the Bulletin Board on the next day. Make sure to talk to Tortimer, to receive the Fishing Trophy

Mayor's Day
Date: 1st Tuesday in November
Beginning: 6AM
End: 12AM

On this holiday, Tortimer honors none other than himself today, talking about all of his good deeds. Talk to him near the Wishing Well, and you'll receive the Well Model.

Officer's Day
Date: November 11th
Beginning: 6AM
End: 12AM

Copper and Booker's deeds are celebrated on this day. After all, where would your town be without the proper security? Talk to Tortimer, who's at his usual spot, to receive the Police Model.

Harvest Festival
Date: 4th Thursday in November
Beginning: 3PM
End: 9PM

Thanksgiving isn't only celebrated in the real world, your villagers are also roistering! Talk to the mayor, who's near the Wishing Well, to hear an interesting tale! Apparently, Tortimer invited a special guest to attend the banquet, but that guest just happened to be a turkey, so, naturally, the guest didn't show up. Your goal is to find the guest, whose name is Franklin, somewhere in your town. He's hiding either behind a tree or a house. Once you talk to him, you'll listen to his sad tale, then your goal is to go back to the Wishing Well, grab the knife and fork from the table and bring it back to Franklin, who will bestow upon you a piece from the Harvest series, there are many pieces, so repeat the process multiple times throughout the day!

Sale Day
Date: 4th Friday in November
Beginning: Once Your Nook Store Opens
End: Once Your Nook Store Closes

Right after the Harvest Festival, Tom Nook is in a great mood; therefore, he's decided to throw a sale! Almost all of his normal items will be replaced with grab bags, which are bags that contain three random items. After you buy as many as you like, check out Crazy Redd's tent, who has also come to town after hearing of Nook's sale! Be sure to chat with Tortimer, too, to receive the Market Model.

December

Snow Day
Date: December 1st
Beginning: 6AM
End: 12AM

Even though it might not be snowing in your Animal Crossing game, Tortimer is already seeing the white stuff! Talk to him close to the Wishing Well to receive the Snowman.

Toy Day
Date: December 23rd
Beginning: 6AM
End: 12AM

Tortimer is in the mood of the season, so he's going to give you a present if you talk to him near the Wishing Well - if your character is a boy, you'll receieve the Miniature Car and if you're playing as a girl, you'll get the Doll.

Jingle Arrives
Date: December 24th
Beginning: 8PM
End: 1AM

Jingle the reindeer will be walking around your town starting at 8PM, and you get the chance to acquire pieces from the Jingle set. Try finding Jingle 5 times in your town during the time frame of 8PM - 1AM, and once you do, you'll get one of the pieces from the Jingle set. You can get more by pretending you're a different person by ching your clothes!

New Year's Eve
Date: December 31st
Beginning: 11PM
End: 1AM

Everyone is in a festive mood tonight, and for good reason, another wonderful year is almost over, and another is just beginning! Join your villagers and Tortimer near your town's lake at 11PM for the countdown, celebrate with fireworks at 12AM and continue celebrating for another hour!
